Product Review

Did you just embark on the journey to stay fit? Are you not too sure about spending heftily on exercising equipment? Well, don’t you worry! The Weslo Cadence G 5. 9 Treadmill, an entry-level treadmill, is perfect for helping you establish an exercise routine without digging too deep in your pockets.

Best for home use, the sale price of this treadmill is $287. Made you happy? But the exercise enthusiast inside you shouldn’t. The average discounted price for quality treadmills is $799, so you ought not to expect very high quality. But yes, the thrifty ones among you have all the rights to.

The unique selling point here is the low price for this treadmill and the Comfort Cell Cushioning. Not just that, if you do not have a very cozy space or a workout room sufficient to accommodate big machines, this is one of your best catches. Its smaller size can be easily fit in your workout spaces. Weslo Cadence G 5.9 is one of the most popular treadmills on the market, and the user is attracted by its low price.

The Weslo G 5.9 treadmill, which is close to $ 300, is appealing to first-time treadmill customers who, in addition to not wanting to spend too much, don’t want a machine that is too big. The Weslo G 5.9 treadmill is small, light, and compact, making it more suitable for light training than heavy running (despite the fact that it can drive up to 10 MPH). First-time buyers looking for a light workout and ready to pay a few hundred dollars may be fine with the Weslo Cadence G 5.9.

Word of caution: you would not find the most desirable qualities of a treadmill in the Weslo Cadence G 5.9 Treadmill.

Don’t put it out of your cart yet. It is best if you are up for the following:

  • Home use
  • Using it occasionally

Please note that the Weslo Cadence G 5.9 Treadmill is only qualified to be used as a walking treadmill and cannot serve you as a runner treadmill. Why? It has the following limitations:

  • The horsepower that is not optimal
  • The track size
  • The speed

The main features of this discounted treadmill are a 50 ″ x 16 ″ wide track, a 2.25 Horsepower motor, and a top speed of up to 10 mph. Runners need a lot more room to stretch their legs (those who only walk can also feel limited by the small size of this track). By comparison, typical pedestrian treadmills have 55-inch long tracks. Runner treadmills are generally 60 feet.

Yet again, don’t forget that this treadmill is for home use only.

Weslo Cadence G 5.9 Treadmill

A ramp is included to help participants increase the number of calories they burn and then the rate at which it is burnt. It can be set manually and has two positions. Of course, that’s better than not have any option to choose from, but most treadmills priced around $500 and up have power-adjustable ramps with at least 10 different settings.

The console of the Weslo Cadence G 5.9 is aided with Comfort Cell Cushioning, heart rate monitor and a blue tinted LCD Display. Weslo Cadence G 5. 9 treadmill console shows your speed, elapsed time, distance, and calories burned. Six preset workouts are included. This Weslo Cadence treadmill has a particularly short warranty. The motor is only covered for one year, while most other treadmills are covered by a lifetime warranty. Parts and job coverage are for 90 days only. So, don’t be surprised if the treadmill is out of order or shows significant issues relatively quickly. Think of it as a treadmill equivalent to a disposable lighter. Weslo Cadence G 5. 9 Treadmill has a space saver design and because it is a folding treadmill.

Stability and quality

If you use this machine for walking, the Weslo Cadence G 5.9 treadmill is quite stable, but if you are going to run, expect unsteady moments, especially if you are a large-sized user. Having the fact that the price of the G 5. 9i treadmill is so low in mind, the build quality is not very poor. It’s obviously nowhere compared to more expensive treadmills, but the assembly is adequate, and the stride impact is not the maximum but moderate.

Power and noise

The Weslo Cadence G 5.9 treadmill has a 2.25 HP motor, which is quite admirable as the more expensive models have either 2.5 or 3.0 HP motors. The difference, however, is that mid-level treadmills are “continuous.” It would not be sensible to push too hard on the Weslo Cadence G 5.9 treadmill by running a lot for a long time.

Likewise, the engine may struggle to continue running under the weight of a tall, heavy user. The noise isn’t bad at lower speeds (which we think is the best), but at higher speeds, it can be a bit loud.

For the price, it would be unfair to require this product to have all the bells and whistles (metaphorically) that other treadmills have, like built-in speakers, a fan, and Bluetooth.
However, the Weslo Cadence G5 comes with the feature of heart rate monitoring and a 6-exercise program. Plus, it offers a two-position incline if you want to step up your workout. The Cadence G5.9 can also reach speeds of 10 MPH, which is pretty impressive and matches many high-end treadmills. The best feature is its small size. As already mentioned, it attracts people who have limited space and want to train easily.

Why did we put it here?

Its “a bit too low” Price tag:

The low price is by far the most attractive element of the Weslo G 5.9. The treadmill can be purchased for just $ 499 or less, even where there aren’t any discounts attached.

Its feature of saving space:

Weslo Cadence treadmills are compact. It can be easily folded to take up even less space between workouts, and the bridge can be placed in a vertical position. The Cadence G 5.9 has a track of the length of 64.5 inches and a width of 29 inches.

Preset Workouts:

Six workout programs have been built into this console. All of these programs are designed by a certified personal trainer to reveal the time spent exercising and to help participants make the most out of each session.

Key specifications

  1. Star Rating of 2.55-stars
  2. The motor of 2.25 HP
  3. Has a Manual Incline
  4. Has a Running Area of 16″ x 50″
  5. Is foldable
  6. Top Speed of up to 10 MPH
  7. Weight Capacity of up to 250 LBS
  8. Dimensions of 68″ L x 31″ W x 55.5″ H
  9. Has 6 Built-In Programs

Why did we rate it low, though?

The treadmill’s belt is thin and moves on small rollers. The treadmill frame is also lightweight, has plastic parts, and is not sealed in the joints. (Higher-quality treadmills, on the other hand, have powder-coated steel frames, and their screws don’t come loose.) So, you might as well want to invest in headphones while exercising if you don’t like annoying rubbing noises.

Very small track:

Weslo Cadence G 5.9 Treadmill

The training area on the Weslo G 5.9 is 16 “wide and 50” long, which is very small. For a fair comparison, a standard walking lane is 20 “wide and at least 55” long. Even if you’re not particularly tall, you’ll most likely find that Cadence G 5.9 limits your stride and can also affect your performance.

Its Manual Incline:

The incline of the G 5.9 can only be adjusted manually as opposed to being electronically adjusted, so this treadmill isn’t as dynamic as the others that you would find in the market. Power ramp treadmills allow participants to seamlessly switch between multiple incline settings within a single workout and thus prove to be more worthwhile in general.

No Accessories:

Unlike most home treadmills, this unit does not have equipment/ add-ons such as a bottle holder, accessory tray, or music speakers. Those features have become common in other treadmills, which cost anywhere below $ 500, making this one a rather basic model.

The G 5.9 treadmills come with a warranty that is very short, as we would expect for any treadmill under $ 500. The motor is only covered for one year. Other parts and labor are only warranted for 90 days.

What would we recommend?

Compared to other beginner treadmills, the Weslo Cadence G 5.9 is made with relatively low-quality parts and doesn’t come with an impressive warranty. The size of the track is particularly disappointing, even for short heightened or smaller sized fitness enthusiasts.

The low price and compact frame may be tempting, but by moving up to the next price range, you could get a cardio trainer that lasts much longer and way feels better when used. With Weslo Cadence G 5.9, you get what you pay for. If you need a modest treadmill for a few months and then plan to dispose it, this machine is worth considering. Otherwise, try the ProForm brand for trainers who are quieter when operated, more engaging in terms of its programming, come with better warranties, and have several other improvements in store for you.
