NordicTrack Incline Trainer X3

NordicTrack Incline Trainer X3 makes it possible by offering a tilt of up to 40%. This way, users can get faster results than through other traditional treadmills. Read below:

Key features

  • 2.8 horsepower DurX Drive Motor
  • Nine training workouts (inclination based)
  • Has a random trail generator
  • One-touch inclination
  • Has one-touch speed
  • DuraSoft Cushioning
  • CoolAire Workout Fan
  • iPod Compatible Music Port
  • Graffix Hi-Altitude Display

The trainer uses a 2.8 HP DurX engine. This motor design uses an axial fan, which reduces noise by cooling internal components, improving the operating environment, and extending the life of the motor. You are able to train for a long time, maintaining smooth and consistent functioning.

Shock absorption

The trainer with “DuraSoft” damping disables the run. This spring system has been designed to reduce the impact on the ankles, knees, and spine and protect important connective tissues within the ankles, knees, and hips.

Speed setting

This trainer uses 1-Touch control. Instead of scrolling through the options, the 1-Touch system allows you to instantly change the speed of the treadmill between 0-10 MPH at the touch of a button. You can reduce the speed immediately when you need to rest or increase it immediately for intense exercise.

Inclination adjustment

1-Touch control technology is used to change the inclination. This is done with a single touch of a button instead of scrolling through the options, as you would with traditional tilt controls. The incline can be set anywhere between 0 degrees and 40 degrees.

Workout programs

  • One manual training
  • Nine calorie exercises in one step
  • Random trainers (enter a calorie goal, and the treadmill selects the speed and incline for each segment to reach that goal). These are the same nine calorie exercises in one phase but rearranged differently.
  • Compatible with iFit (training) SD card. Exercises must be purchased separately.

You can opt for a 1-step calorie workout, a casual workout, or an iFit workout after inserting the key into the console (if you purchased an SD card, separate from the control). Either way, the steps are the same.

After selecting the desired program, you need to start the treadmill. The treadmill begins to move as your hands hold the railing. As the program nears its end, the inclined trainer slows down. For preset workouts, the incline and speed are automatically controlled on the treadmill. To stop the program, use the Stop button and also the Start button if you want to restart it.

The sophisticated display gives you a complete overview of your performance by offering all the information you need. Reaching your fitness goals with a cross country climber means staying motivated and having a variety of preset programs. This trainer comes with nine pre-programmed incline workouts. Automatically adjust the inclination and speed of the tread.

It is advisable that you constantly measure your heart rate. If the schedule is difficult, there is a fan option that you can access easily. At the end of the program, remove the key from the console.

Important note, the number of calories comes with a rough estimate and is only relevant to 50% of the users. If your console doesn’t allow you to enter personal information such as age and weight, don’t depend on this number.

What makes NordicTrack Incline X3 different from random treadmills?

·         iFit Exercise Cards

The device is equipped with the latest iFit Workout Card technology. Each card is designed by a certified personal trainer and connects directly to the treadmill console, automatically adjusting speed and incline while the voice of the personal trainer guides you through each workout. With iFIT interactive workout card technology, you can lose weight, feel good, and improve performance.

·         Workout fans

The “CoolAire” exercise fan is mounted on the console. This directs a flow of air to the face and upper body. Just press a button, and you have high or low-speed fans that cool your body when you need it most.

·         iPod connection

Forget the boring workout that you have always been doing, listening to your favorite music through the integrated Interplay sound system. This is possible thanks to the universal connection system for the iPod. Just plugin, press play, and listen to your favorite music while you work out.

·         Wrist monitor

The CardioGrip Club heart rate monitor is integrated into the trainer. This will help you get the most out of every workout by monitoring your heart rate using the sensors built into the handlebar. Heart rate monitoring ensures that you are always in the right training zone for your goals. This way, you can perform a more effective workout, burn more fat, and at the same time, improve your cardiovascular health.

·         High altitude view

The device gives you the opportunity to show your training in a 3D presentation. You can watch the training from a distance and see how his journey on a virtual mountain ends. You can change angles to a different perspective or zoom in enough to see an animated character walking along the path.

The display gives the user the benefit of one of the most realistic incline workouts. The Grafixx display also monitors basic training data with information on speed, time, distance, vertical routes, calories burned, and calories burned per hour.

What We Like

  • Efficient workouts: The NordicTrack can incline up to as much as 40%. This speeds up the calorie-burning process five times more than any walking track.
  • Low-impact workouts:Exercise on this track is as efficient as running. In addition to this, this is done without much strain on muscles and joints. (This has been discussed in detail later in this review).
  • Console:Equipped with a Grafixx High Altitude display, the X3 also comes with standard data readouts. 3d trails and change of scenery and angles also give the option of animated companions, which makes the training even more interesting. NordicTrack inclines have speaker systems and are iPod compatible. The X3 is also fixed with nine workout programs, and the machine is iFit-ready.
  • Price:The NordicTrack Incline Trainers, even with the luxury features and good efficiency rates, are priced at the same level as a standard mid-grade treadmill for non-runners. With all the interactive features to keep a walker motivated in the quick and efficient calorie-burning process, the NordicTrack Incline Trainer X3 is sure worth the price.
  • Warranty: You can purchase an Incline Trainer X3i at a low price. The best part? You don’t have to care about the parts. It comes with an impressive lifetime warranty on the frame and motor.

What We Don’t Like

The great advantage of the coach is his sound system. While this may seem like a small detail, it is definitely important. However, the truth is that this device is prone to accidents or minor malfunctions.

  • iFit card: The iFit card, which we tested and paid for separately, didn’t work.
  • Tread belt: The belt didn’t move, which basically decided to return us and receive a new one. However, the second machine performed better.
  • Not for running:The short track is not for someone wanting a run, but the inclining feature is more suitable for one opting for climbing and hiking virtual experience.

Nordictrack Incline Trainer X3: Wow factors vs. Nah factors

Wow factors:

  • Motor with DurX Drive and quality horsepower
  • Nine training workouts (inclination based)
  • Has a random trail generator
  • One-touch inclination
  • One-touch speed
  • DuraSoft Cushioning
  • CoolAire Workout Fan
  • iPod Compatible Music Port
  • Graffix Hi-Altitude Display

Nah factors:

  • Not manufactured for runners

Decision: Should you invest in a NordicTrack Incline Trainer X3?

The NordicTrack X3 is the finest option to go for if one wants efficient yet low-impact workouts. The other features this model offers, including 3d graphics, personal training iFit workouts, great sound system, make the overall experience worthwhile for the user.

Nonetheless, these incline trainers are not fit for runners due to their short tracks. Furthermore, this model can be used by people weighing up to 300 pounds. People who weigh more can opt for the X7i, which has a 350-pound limit. The X5i and X7i models of NordicTrack are equipped with more advanced display systems and workouts than X3i. Yet, these are offered for an additional price of $600, which may not seem worthy to many.
