Nordictrack Commercial 2950 Treadmill

Treadmill Review

NordicTrack sets the pace in treadmill technology with the C2950. A whole new dimension has been introduced with video training. This treadmill is an ideal treadmill for both casual walking and shooting and hiking. You will find a wide range of workouts. NordicTrack has launched the 2021 treadmill updated with a number of improvements. It now has faster graphics processing and an improved dual-band WiFi connection to improve the quality of live streaming and on-demand workouts. They also expanded the capabilities of Bluetooth on the treadmill and allowed users to pair their Bluetooth headphones with a treadmill to listen to interactive workouts. The tilt drivers have also been updated and run much quieter than in the past. The one-year iFit subscription that came with the treadmill is now a family subscription that allows for multiple users. The studio exercises mimic the experience of being in a boutique gym class. Helps pass the time and makes exercising fun. During outdoor training, trainers often point out locations along the way, so practice and take a tour. We can confirm that racing with 2950 is definitely a premium racing experience. The bridge is sensitive but forgiving, and we really like the adjustable suspension. This latest incarnation of the C2950 is sure to tick all the boxes when it comes to providing a great platform as a race car and now the machine’s most visually striking feature. It’s not all. In recent years, these treadmills would have an individual 1-year subscription to iFit, but for 2021 these passes have been upgraded to family members – ideal for families with multiple runners. Loaded with great specs for performance and entertainment, buying this workout machine is hard to resist.

Why is Nordictrack Commercial 2950, your perfect workout partner?

The 2950 model supports users up to 300 lbs and is equipped with ECG sensors to read heart rate, dual fans to cool you down, cup holders on both sides of the screen, and a compartment for storing things. The screen tilts up and down a few inches, so you can adjust it to the outside of the treadmill as you exercise for a better viewing angle. In the top right corner of the screen, the search icon allows you to filter workouts by category, continent, duration (less than 20 minutes to more than 50 minutes), environment (beach, city, desert, forest, points reference, mountains, savannas, studio, and waterfront), intensity (levels 1 to 7), target body area and trainer.

It has two digitally amplified 3-inch speakers and supports Bluetooth, so you can play music, podcasts, or audiobooks from your phone on the treadmill sound system. You can also use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect external audio sources. The device works with wired headphones, but not wirelessly, although NordicTrack says Bluetooth support is planned for the future.

On the left side of the screen are manual incline controls (-3 to 15 percent) and on the right side are manual speed controls (1-12 mph). Below the screen is a control panel with buttons for start, stop, tilt, speed, fan, and volume. On the home page, view weekly stats on the left side of the screen, including your average pace (minutes per mile), calories burned, distance traveled, estimation, and total workout time. It offers recommended sets that you might like and a selection of additional workouts to perform based on your goals, machine, and training history. You can browse workouts organized by sets, coaches, and various categories, including active recovery, sound only, beginner, cross-training, hiking, international, running, study, strength, walking, and walking.

In Create, you can create and save your workouts based on Google Maps Street View. To search anywhere in the world you want to explore, tap the map to insert placeholders at the start and endpoints, then tap Save New Exercise. Then name your workout and start it now, schedule it for later, or tap the heart icon to add it to your favorites.

The treadmill matches the speed of the action on the screen, so when your guide starts running, the treadmill accelerates with them. If you are walking, the incline of the treadmill will change according to the terrain. You can, of course, also manually control the speed and incline during these sessions if you wish, but it’s much more engaging to let the car take you on a journey and do whatever it can to do it. If I had to list all the possible places you can train virtually, I’d be here all day, so suffice it to say there are plenty of options.

Technological innovation:

  • IMPROVED – AUTOMATIC TRAINER CONTROL
  • NEW – CONNECTING BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES
  • Upgraded 22-inch HD intelligent touch screen
  • Newquist drive slope technology
  • iFit interactive personal training
  • NEW – MOBILE APPLICATIONS
  • LIVE speed
  • Slope and control drop
  • Unlimited exercise options
  • FASTER – WI-FI CONNECTION
  • GOOGLE MAPS

Is Nordictrack Commercial 2950 good enough for your cardio?

It’s obviously not perfect (there really isn’t anything), and there are some things that can be improved to make the hardware and software even better. Fans will stop as soon as you stop training, even if you are still browsing or viewing your stats. Commercial 2950 is large and heavy. Assembly is not easy and requires a fairly high ceiling. At zero slope, the belt is 10.5 inches above the ground. Fully tilted, it stands approximately 17.25 inches above the ground. One thing you will definitely benefit from is the help of another person because some things – like mounting the display and control unit – require a special set of hands. Of course, you can always opt for home mounting, which is probably not a bad idea. Another drawback was the way the treadmill seemed to shake slightly after the first assembly.

The display hardware is basically a 22-inch Android tablet. It looks great, and the guided training is great, but it’s not the most sensitive touch screen in the world. Sometimes it takes a while for the haptic inputs to register, which can be fixed by upgrading to a tablet intern.

With the recent changes to the NordicTrack, the general warranty has been reduced to 10 years for frames, two years for parts and electronics, and one year for labor. Unfortunately, this doesn’t keep up with the competition and is a bit of a disappointment.

Nordictrack Commercial 2950: Wow factors vs. Nah factors

Wow factors:

  • Overly large 22 “x 60” tape area
  • Built-in fans
  • Integrated speakers with Bluetooth connection
  • 15% range with a 3% downward trend
  • Maximum speed 12 miles per hour
  • One-touch control for incline and speed for manual operation
  • Flex Cushioning: Runners Flex ™ cushioning with soft and firm adjustment
  • Quiet: WhisperQuiet package
  • Easy to fold: SpaceSaver frame with EasyLift Assist design
  • iFit Enabled: iFit coach Provides unlimited downloads of training programs
  • Spacious: Large exercise area (22 inches x 60 inches)

Nah factors:

  • Assembly: It’s not quick or easy, so plan extra for your professional assembly service
  • Does not support wireless headphones (yet)
  • Customer Service: Sending spare parts is sometimes slow

Decision: Should you invest in a Nordictrack Commercial 2950?

NordicTrack is a premium brand of the largest home fitness equipment manufacturer in the world and has worked hard in recent years to establish itself in the premium category. The new Commercial 2950 with 22 ”screen and iFit Coach is NordicTrack’s most advanced treadmill in terms of mechanics and electronics. The treadmill also has impressive speed and incline intervals that can be adjusted in seconds, as well as a quality speaker set. While there are many other treadmills on the home market, there are many 2950s that set it apart from the competition. With a sturdy track, powerful motor, large touch screen, and impressive training programs, the NordicTrack Commercial 2950 is a versatile and fully equipped home treadmill. With this machine, NordicTrack has brought something very special: it’s a better, more engaging, and motivating experience than the machines you find in gyms – this often doesn’t happen on a home treadmill. This is a particularly good investment for your health if you live in an area where routine outdoor exercise makes it difficult or suitable gyms are uncomfortable and expensive.
