Product Pros And Cons

Smooth 5.65 Treadmill

1) Longer 60″ Running Deck

This is one of the longest belts you can find on a treadmill – at any price range – and it gives you a lot of room to move. It’s especially good for taller users or runners who like to pick up the pace. And it’s a huge improvement over the older 55″ long running belt that you found on the 2010 model.

2) Excellent Warranty

This is simply one of the best warranties you’ll find on a treadmill under $1000. The motor and frame are covered for a lifetime. You also get 4 years on parts and 2 years on service.

While most good warranties will give you 1 year on service – to get 2 years on service is amazing – and can save you a lot of money should something go wrong.

3)  iPod Dock With Speakers

You can plug in your iPod or Mp3 player and listen to your favorite workout music while you workout. There’s also a jack for headphones if you want to keep you workout quiet.

4) Incline / Speed Controls on the Side Handrails

This is a handy feature you often find in more expensive runner’s treadmills. Instead of reaching forward, you can just change the speed or incline from the side handrails controls. It may seem like a little thing, but it can be very handy since reaching forward can sometimes throw off your stride.

5) Easier-To-Read Console

The new console on the Smooth 5.65 treadmill is larger and easier to read than the 2010 model. The LED Dot Matrix shows you time, distance, heart rate, calories, speed and incline.

6) Lower Step-On Height

Smooth has lowered the step on height for the 5.65 treadmill, which makes it easier to get on and off. It’s also handy if you have a lower roof-height so you don’t have to worry about taller users hitting their heads.

7) 40 Built In Workouts

It’s hard to get bored with all of your options on this treadmill. There are fitness tests, custom courses, target programs based on time, distance or calories that you want to burn and more.

Pros

  • Higher 4.0 MPH Speed Limit
  • Upgraded Console With More Workout Feedback
  • Burn Calories Twice As Fast As A Treadmill
  • Low Impact
  • 12 Intensity Settings

Cons

  • The Speed Starts at 0.5 MPH While Some Users Prefer a Lower Start Speed of 0 MPH.
  • Doesn't Have Some of the "Extras" That Higher End Smooth Models Carry
