Proform Performance 600i Folding Treadmill

The Proform Performance 600 treadmill is one of Proform’s most affordable (and popular) treadmills this year.

It’s a step up from the Performance 400 model with a stronger 2.5 HP motor, higher 12% incline, slightly stronger deck and longer warranty.

If you like to track your results, it features an iPod dock that is Nike Compatible (you can use this to track your workout stats online at the Nike website).

It also comes with iFit LIVE – so you can connect your treadmill to the Internet, download new workouts to your treadmill, track your workout stats online and even customize your own fitness program.

Verdict: Recommended

The Proform Performance 600 treadmill is a great little starter treadmill coming in under $800. It offers decent basics like a 2.5 HP motor, nice-sized 55″ long belt, heart rate monitor and several built-in workout programs.

While it isn’t a runners treadmill by any means, it’s still very affordable and would be a good choice for walkers on a budget – especially if you want some new toys that can make your workout more fun.

Product Pros And Cons

Proform Performance 600i Treadmill

1) iFit Live

iFit Live is the newest technology that comes on a few of the new Proform treadmills.

If you have wireless Internet in your home you can connect your treadmill to the Internet and run trails all over the world. You can download new workouts with Jillian Michaels from ‘The Biggest Loser’ – where she coaches you through your workout.

You can also track your activity and nutrition online and customize your own workout programs

2) Nike + iPod® Compatible

The Proform Performance 600 treadmill lets you track your workout performance with Nike and iPod. You connect your iPod, work out and then sync your results online at the Nike website.

3) Music Port for iPod With Built In Console Speakers

You can easily plug in your iPod or Mp3 player and listen to your favorite music or podcast through the built in sound system. While an iPod dock is becoming a fairly standard feature on treadmills, it’s still nice to have and can make your workouts a lot more enjoyable.

4) One-Touch Speed and Incline Controls

This is a popular feature that Proform puts on many of their treadmills. Instead of scrolling through your speed or incline levels, you just push one button and the treadmill adjusts to your desired level. This is a handy feature that won’t throw off your stride.

5) Workout Intensity Control

This is a neat little feature that you don’t usually find on treadmills. It lets you adjust the intensity of your workout. So for example if you feel you aren’t working hard enough you just push a button and the treadmill increases the intensity.

6) 16 Workout Apps

These 16 built-in workout programs are easily customizable and focus on a particular goal. For example you get  4 speed, 4 endurance, 4 weight-loss intervals and 4 calorie-burn accelerator workouts. Along with the new workouts from iFit LIVE, this gives you a continual challenge.
