Workout Recap

My workouts are much more consistent these days but other than work, nothing else is going on.  I am just loving my love and living it well.  I wish I had more to share though.  Be sure to check out my YouTube channel as I will be uploading more videos soon.  Right now I am working on a 100 day challenge to learn to kick up and HOLD a controlled static handstand.  You can follow my progress on here and/or here. #giveit100

Here is a quick recap of my workouts since my last post.  It is SO NICE to be back at Crossfit!

Tuesday, May 27, 2014 – REST DAY, still feeling Murph!

Wednesday, May 28, 2014 – Crossfit.  WOD was 21-15-9-6-3 of deadlifts and T2B but my hands were still torn up from Murph, so I did deadlifts and GHD situps with a 10# med ball.  Weight on the deadlifts was 155 and I finished in 14:37.

Thursday, May 29, 2014 – Crossfit.  12 minute AMRAP of 15 KB Swings, 15 Box Jumps, 40 foot crap walk – forward and back.  I used 40# KB and 20 in box. Rounds completed: 4 + 35.

Friday, May 30, 2014 – Crossfit.  Strength was Back Squat – my mobility still sucks but at least I am slowly seeing some improvements.  12 minute AMRAP of 5 S2OH (75#), 35 DU, 15 Wall Balls (20# ball).  I completed 3 + 54.

Saturday, May 31, 2014 – Off.

Sunday, June 1, 2014 – Off.

Monday, June 2, 2014 – Crossfit.  Strength was strict press and I worked up to 75#.  WOD was for time but I don’t remember my time – oops!  It was 400 m run, then 15 HSPU and 15 T2B, run 400 m, 10 HSPU and 10 T2B, run 400 m, 5 HSPU and 5 T2B.  I did the HSPU on the box.

Tuesday, June 3, 2014 – Walked at lunch 1.76 miles.  Crossfit.  20 minute AMRAP of 5 pull ups, 10 push ups, 15 squats.  I completed 10 + 5 rounds.

Wednesday, June 4, 2014 – Crossfit.  Skill work was box jumps and I worked on 24 inch box jumps.  I can physically do it and did several but fear gets to me. I’m so scared to miss on every single jump! Knock on wood, but I have NEVER missed and hit my shin on a box like so many have and I NEVER want to.  That probably makes me over cautious on the box though.  We did EMOTM (every minute on the minute) of 8 box jumps per minute for 5 minutes.  The WOD was a short one – 30 SDHP (sumo deadlift high pulls).  I used 75# and finished at 2:05.

Thursday, June 5, 2014 – off.

Friday, June 6, 2014 – Crossfit. Skill work was double unders.  WOD was 4 rounds for time of 5 pull ups, 10 thrusters (started with 65# but dropped to 55# after two rounds) and Russian twists (I used 20#).  Time was 10:32.

Saturday, June 7, 2014 – off.  Watched a Crossfit comp at TNL in Tampa.

Sunday, June 8, 2014 – off.

Monday, June 9, 2014 – Crossfit.  Strength was deadlifts: 5 X 3 working up to a 3 rep max.  Since I am still slowly getting back into this, I didn’t push it on weight.  My 1RM is 265 but I know I am nowhere near getting back to that.  I worked my way up to 215 x 3 as my final round.

And check out Chayet’s mom – 65 years old and she just got a new PR for her deadlift – 225 lbs!!!  She is such an inspiration to me and everyone who knows her!

The WOD was a 12 minute AMRAP of 15 KB swings, 15 box jumps, 200 m run with a 20# sandbag.  This was one of the workouts from the comp on Saturday – it sucked watching it and it really sucked doing it.  I say that…but I still love to hate it. =)  I used a 53# KB and 20 inch box.

I sort of dropped the ball with my updates.  I will try to be better about it but life has just been too good lately and I’ve not taken the time to sit down and blog.  Not that I don’t love my blog and documenting my progress – I truly do. But sometimes you have to just step away from the computer, put the phone down and not worry about getting a picture of every single thing and JUST LIVE!  That is what I am trying to focus on – JUST LIVING!  Sometimes I get too busy being a #powerfulhuman – try it sometime.  It’s so empowering to live happy!
